This is such a cool idea!
I don't have much of a preference for now but from the all the types Ive tried out so far I like how easy to use jp CV and jp VCV are. Theyre also pretty easy to oto. VCCV english looks really interesting too! I've never used it before but from what I've heard it's worth the hard work. Same for arpasing english

Depends if you mean using, otoing, or recording- I assume you mean using, so JP VCV and CVVC are up there! CVVC is easy to record but I suck at otoing it which dulls some of the fun for me. I love using Arpasing the most for English. Really fun to record too.

My fav is & always will be CVVC for any language ^^ the lists are so much shorter in recordings & configuration length. Not to mention that the learning curve can go as fast or slow as the user wants cuz it doubles as CV. It's sad it requires a lot of work to set up cuz autoCVVC is unstable, but openUTAU has that built in & I love it so much!
I def do understand the love for VCV tho. CVVC does have more control with the flow but VCV you're basically getting dupes of the same sound so there's more variety in how the voice flows. It's also a lot easier to use in UTAU compared to just CVVC. & also it's easier to get a better sound with a LQ VCV oto than a LQ CVVC & CV oto so it's def better for people who don't fully understand configuring & don't have someone to do it for them.

Personally, I prefer CV for English and VC (new experimental method) for Japanese, since CV has better control and accent retention for me and VC has CVVC / VCV levels of smoothness without the extra work for it

For Japanese, I love using CVVC and VCV, though a good CV will always be appreciated. OpenUTAU definitely made CVVC a little easier for me, and CVVC gives me a lot of flexibility. I have a lot of VCV and CV voices I like using, so that warms me up to those reclists.
For English, Arpasing is easier for me to use because I know the reclist better, even though I have to do more editing than VCCV.
Thanks for the discussion topic!!
